Bob Robotti has an ownership of 6% as well. Low US Nat Gas prices isthe huge competitive advantage this investment thesis is based on. Could also be a potential risk in the medium future imo.

The amazing thing about shale is 6/7 shale basins that are ideal for fracking are in the US. The other is the Vaca Muerte in Argentina. If China had the reserves, they would be drilling for them.

I have a small piece left. Made some money, lost some money. In cyclicals I usually overstay and regretfully pay for it.

Management made some blunders with natural gas purcases, their ideas of M&A,...

Would prefer UAN, which is much more profitable, but as MLP is a no go for me (foreigner).

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. What do you think of their export terminal, and their potential role in supplying low carbon, blue ammonia as a fuel for shipping? They have been working on a proof of concept with a Japanese partner, INPEX.

That's more than five years away. I'm not 100% sure the climate gestapo have inertia to turn shipping into an ammonia based fleet. It's allegedly only $160 million capex for their half, assuming 60% project level financing. Management would only move forward with 12 year purchase agreements to lock in EBITDA, so it's safe for LXU.
